Because there isn't a law for it, doesn't mean that it is not a crime.
Here is the best Example why most students and even faculties hate GTU's working style (if there is one!) It seems GTU officials make plans and notices for the sake of formality. This time around colleges have been compromised in the external examination. The date of Semester Project Presentation was declared as 05/12/2011 and the date of declaration of Guidelines on Making Project Report was also 05/12/2011. Now all of us know that it takes at least one day just to get the report bounded and god knows how much time on making and formatting a 40-50 page report. Even if we take into consideration that Engineers have a habit of doing work over one night, it becomes impossible for a student to submit the report as suggested by GTU before 11:59 PM on 05/12/2011. And more than the money spent on getting Reports done, the efforts, it hurts the most when we - the students are asked to make the Report all over again. Seriously People! Is it a joke? If there is one word for this utter nonsense than it would be simply: Unacceptable. If these words do not fill you with rage, here is the evidence;

In the above link, guidelines for “How to prepare report for submission” is given.
GTU administration is very optimistic. First they decide that report should be submitted on 5th December and then they post guidelines on the day of submission. They have lost their minds due to exams overflow. There should be some logical procedure in decision making to say the least. But GTU as always proved it wrong. Every now and then people curse “Education System”. But people at GTU are very smart. They keep showing us that don’t blame us for miscommunication because we don’t even have any “Education System.”
It is very depressing to see such flaws in scheduling. Do they have any committee to decide schedules or is there just one man army? If it is one man army, keep it changing at least! Think twice before posting things on website. Keep in mind, that there are thousands of students who are going to suffer because of your ridiculous decisions.
The project scheduling fiasco can commence following "con sequences" for students if not handled with care:
- Students have already prepared and now even submitted their reports. They give presentation in the morning. GTU summons in the afternoon and says: “Do as directed…” WTF.
- Preparing reports costs to students. It’s not about few bucks wasted. It’s about the efforts students have invested.
- Repeating same things twice, even if it was good at first, annoys everybody. (GTU: See your notices posted on that crap website. Sometimes even Google cannot find some posts on your website

)
Now some of you after reading this article must be thinking that the author has made a spelling mistake in the link given above. But click on it and you'll know that it opens correctly.
So it's not us who have made a spelling mistake, it's once again your favourite GTU!
The correct spelling is Format. Formate is related to some Chemical Compound. So it is alright if GTU gets some Reaction to it. We here at Off Classroom try our best to minimize spelling mistakes and try to attain perfection but this time around, we had to deliberately post an incorrect spelling in our article. So that the link opens correctly.
Oh! GTU can't even spare us here. It's not a university, it's a curse.
P.S. : This is just a trailer of The Dirty Picture of GTU. The film is available on http://www.gtu.ac.in
Climax: Just inside 9 hours from the time this article was posted, GTU has updated the PDF file of Report_formate.pdf (Unfortunately not the name!). We don't know whether it has been done due to our efforts and your support that we have got in these past nine hours. But the good thing is that we became the change that we wanted to see, thanks to your support and concern. Though there are still more issues left to be dealt, it's always good to take the first step. Here is the change:

Change Reflected in Newer PDF
Though they have updated this PDF, it is not mentioned anywhere that it has been updated. To add more, it still shows the posted date to be 05/12/2011 on GTU website while in reality, the newer PDF is posted on 06/12/2011. They still don't care to notify students or may be they don't want to because it was a Mistake!
